I didn’t take the author’s advice, I read the story. Nothing but a rambling, well written story about a woman’s journey to become a well traveled whore. Ian will make a mistake if he marries her, and the title makes no sense at all. There is no football in the story.

Don't have much (OK, any) sympathy for cheaters. Therefore, I believe I'll pass on any subsequent episodes. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I'm sure there are plenty of readers out there who will enjoy it, I'm just not one of them.

Yeah, pages and pages of story that truly, in the end made no sense. As such this literary dog dropping probably shouldnt exist in this world. Granted its better than the seriously and dangerously mentally ill Andrew1968 but thats not a glowing compliment.

If a couple are not sexually compatible. And if one of the couple is letting it affect the marriage its time to either seek marriage counselling or call it a day and end the marriage. There is no point flogging a dead horse as we say in England. If the marriage is dead move on. If the wife wants to be and is a slut then go to it but don't drag the husband around cut him loose. Good story overall. Switched Ian for Scott in one instance which resulted in some momentary confusion but other than that very good writing. Personally I felt you could have left out some excess detail but you clearly enjoyed the subject and settings and felt the need to include restaurants, food and geography. Well done. Look forward to subsequent stories.

How do you get from hereford to London on the A419, when it doesn't go to Hereford. You would need to travel first to Ross on Wye to pick up the A419, if you were travel directly it would be the A438, or B4224. Please when using live factors like road locations they are accurate. Also in the 1970s mini skirts werent very popular if at all they never came into general mainstream fashion until the 1980s. In the 70s it was Mini Jump dresses, and flares/ bell bottoms. Unfortunately I stopped reading the story for the story and started reading the story for errors.

Thank all of you who took the time to read at least part of this story, to rate it, and especially to comment. Retrospect is a wonderful thing -- and with the benefit of being able to now look backwards I agree that this story was way too long. By way of explanation, I was trying to produce a verbal slide show -- pictures from a trip. But I'd forgotten that it can be quite boring when someone pulls out their old Carousel projector, dims the room lights, and starts to show you their 35mm slides from their trip to Kansas. The story needed a plot and needed to be much shorter. Incidentally, most of the events related actually happened (at least partially) but the story is still a work of fiction. As to the fact-checking, all I can say is sorry. I did try to be careful. I lived in sunny Worcestershire for 24 years,. and visited Hereford on many occasions. I even took some evening courses at the Hereford College of Arts. But I can never remember the right route numbers -- I even get the motorway numbers confused. I thought I'd checked, but sorry if I still didn't get it (and other facts) correct. Mea culpa.
